Description
This species varies from a stunted mallee-like shrub in exposed sites to a majestic forest tree up to 70 metres tall. Proclaimed the floral emblem of Tasmania the Tasmanian Blue Gum (Eucalyptus globulus) yields an oil boasting a fresh, camphoraceous aroma with floral and herbaceous notes. Dominated by eucalyptol (1,8-cineole) this oil finds its place in aromatherapy, personal care and confectionary products to name a few. Truly an all purpose oil.
